Background

The following course is aimed at understanding the current challenge that the United Nations Organization poses towards the year 2030 through the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and their 169 targets. Above all, we will focus on the P of Planet and the SDGs corresponding to it. The SDGs are a tool for group and individual action, the sustainability of the planet is everyone's task, and in this training, you can learn and get ideas on how to be part of the solution.

Event objectives

The objective of this online course is to provide theoretical and practical training to young people in Andalusia on the 2030 Agenda, more specifically on Planet P and the five SDGs that are grouped in it, in addition to promoting, developing and implementing solutions based on nature.

Learning objectives

- Undertake the training course that will enable students and teachers to create their own nature conservation and restoration micro-projects.

- Obtain a UNITAR certificate by completing a mandatory 8-hour course.

- Submit a micro-project proposal to work with your school to implement a Nature-Based Solution that benefits your environment (for schools in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia).

Methodology

People must follow each of the modules in an orderly manner and watch the complementary videos.

- In the modules of the P for Planet that develops the 5 corresponding SDGs, there are two workshops to carry out one of them. The instructions for each workshop are accompanied by an explanatory video that will help to define which of the two to do.

- At the end of the modules, the only thing left to do is the group evaluation. This test consists of defining a pre-project with an idea of Nature-Based Solutions that is feasible to implement in the environment of the educational centre or the nearest community.
