Guangzhou, July 23 – The 6th International Conference on AI-Empowered English Teaching, co-hosted by the UNITAR Prosperity Alliance Chengdu and the Xuedong Education Teacher Research Center, successfully concluded today. The two-day event brought together educators and experts to explore how AI is transforming English teaching and classroom practices.

The conference opened on July 22 with remarks from Ms. Wang Yanyan, CEO of Xuedong Education Teacher Research Center, who encouraged participants to embrace AI-driven innovation in teaching. Sessions featured Mr. Ke Binbin from the Naodong platform, who demonstrated how AI tools can enhance courseware design and visualization for teaching competitions, and Mr. Tong Chuan, who showcased AI’s role in helping students structure and present complex ideas.

On July 23, Mr. Zhang Juncheng, a provincial judge, emphasized how lessons from competitions can be applied to improve daily teaching effectiveness. The conference concluded with a highly interactive “Collaborative Creation” session, where teachers used AI tools in real time to refine their lesson plans through peer evaluation, Q&A, and hands-on guidance. Representatives Ms. Lin Yan and Ms. Xiao Zheng presented their teams’ work, receiving enthusiastic applause for their innovative approaches.

The event underscored AI’s growing role in enhancing English teaching, providing educators with practical tools to improve instructional quality and prepare for future education challenges.
