Mr. Petr Ilichev is Director of the Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Prior to this appointment in 2018, Mr. Ilichev had various other appointments, including First Deputy to the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (2012-2018), Senior Counsellor and Deputy Director, Department of International Organizations (2005-2012), First Secretary, Embassy of the Russian Federation to the United States of America (2002-2005) as well as appointments in the Africa Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Kenya and various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Mr. Ilichev graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and is married with one daughter.
