
H.E. Ambassador Harahsheh is a seasoned Jordanian diplomat with a distinguished career in multilateral diplomacy and international relations. He currently serves as the Permanent Representative of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the United Nations Office in Geneva. He has held several senior positions within Jordan’s foreign service, most recently serving as Director of the International Organisations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates from July 2022.
Ambassador Harahsheh brings a wealth of experience from his prior postings abroad. He served at the Permanent Mission of Jordan to the United Nations Office at Geneva between 2017 and 2021, where he held the positions of Counsellor, Deputy Permanent Representative, and chargè d’affaires a.i. Earlier in his career, he was posted to the Jordanian Embassies in France (2011–2016) and the Netherlands (2006–2010), where he contributed to strengthening bilateral relations and advancing Jordan’s diplomatic interests in Europe.
He began his diplomatic career in 1999 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, where he has served in various capacities both at headquarters and overseas, gaining broad expertise in international cooperation, regional affairs, and global diplomacy.
Ambassador Harahsheh holds a Master of Laws in International, European, and Business Law from the University of Leeds, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Jordan.
