June 2010, Geneva, Switzerland - The Duke University Course on Humanitarian Assistance and Human Rights provides each year participants with a thorough introduction to international humanitarian assistance, human rights, and human security. Since a few years the course is hosted at UNITAR and supported by the UNOSAT Team.

Senior UNOSAT staff and analysts participate actively in the course which include an innovative module on the use of geospatial information and advanced satellite analysis for humanitarian assistance and human rights. The module, particularly appreciated by students, demonstrates the latest advancements in the use of satellite imagery analysis for the illustration and discovery of human rights violations.
