With outreach, cost-effectiveness and flexibility in mind, UNITAR will use its time-tested and innovative methodology of e-Learning (online training) to train public finance officials from Ibero-American nations.

In the coming months, UNITAR will develop and deploy four six-week e-Learning courses, on themes including negotiation skills, intellectual property and capital markets. These will be offered for free to the public sector, civil society and academic institutions, thanks to generous support from the Spanish government.

Participants taking these online courses – which will be conducted in the Spanish language – will find an exciting network of like-minded officials with whom to interact, discuss and exchange ideas on a discussion board moderated by international experts.

The e-Learning courses will involve the following themes:

Course 1: “Negotiation for Conflict and Dispute Resolution”
15 June – 10 July

Course 2: “International Negotiations: Practical Skills and Techniques”
22 June – 17 July

Course 3: “Intellectual Property Policy and Development”
29 June – 24 July

Course 4: “Fundamentals of Capital Market Development and Regulation”
6 July– 31 July

The course pedagogy will involve three level of interaction: at the first level, participants will interact with the course contents and resources; at the second level, participants will interact with peers; and at the third level, participants will interact with expert mentors. In this way, self learning will be combined with online interaction with a view to providing a structured and exciting online learning experience to UNITAR’s Ibero-American constituency.

UNITAR invites Ibero-American officials working in the field of public finance and financial negotiation to register for these free online courses. Join us and experience an e-Learning approach which remains unparalleled in the field of public finance and beyond!
