18-19 March 2019, Beirut, Lebanon. UNITAR hosted the third workshop of the year on negotiation strategies and techniques for the diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic. During the workshop, expert, Mr. Marwan Mery, founder of ADN Group, a large company of professional negotiators, provided the young diplomats the essential skills and tools needed to negotiate effectively in diplomatic settings.

Mr. Rabih El-Haddad, Director of the Division for multilateral diplomacy engaged the participants over the next day with simulation exercises during which they had to practice what they had learned on the first day. The workshop ended with more simulation exercises and a toolbox for effective negotiators.

UNITAR would like to thank once again Her Excellency Ms. Caroline Ziadé who coordinated the activities and looks forward to finalizing the series of workshops in the second part of the year.
