Training on Information Technology Application for Developing Countries
2 May 2016, Shanghai, China - CIFAL Shanghai with the support of the Ministry of Commerce of China hosted from 16 April to 2 May the course titled “Information Technology Application for Developing Countries”,bringing together a group of 20 participants from Armenia. Participants included the Head of the Department of Communication and Information of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Armenia, as well as staff members from the Ministry.
Since 2009, CIFAL Shanghai has offered 28 training courses in the field of information technology applications, providing training to some 844 officials and technicians from 107 countries. The course for officials from Armenia is the first one of the 2016 China Aid Training Course Series and 7 more trainings are planned for this year.
The course provided the opportunity for government officials from Armenia to learn about information technology applications and development in Shanghai. Through integration of theoretical and practical training, such as thematic lectures, special subjects, free discussion and on-site investigation, participants were introduced to China’s and Shanghai’s practice and achievements in the field of informatization and IT applications.

- Urban Informatization
- Information Security
- Enterprise Informatization
- Mobile IT Application
- E-Commerce and Case Study
- Application of information technology in various fields of social development: communication, agriculture, education and city design and construction
Participants also learned about the current state of social and economic development in China and how information technology has been integrated in different aspects of society.
