28 June 2023, Geneva, Switzerland - SURGhub, the United Nations Global Surgery Learning Hub, is now available to all healthcare providers across the world.
Led by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Global Surgery Foundation (GSF), in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), and association with the Johnson & Johnson Foundation, this initiative aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the current and future global surgical care workforce.
SURGhub’s primary focus is to support frontline workers in low-resource settings by empowering them with resources needed to elevate surgical and anaesthesia care provision worldwide. Thanks to the organizations who have already made their educational content available on this UN-based platform, SURGhub currently offers an impressive selection of 27 courses across various specialities, including surgery, anaesthesia, perioperative nursing, gynaecology, and obstetrics.
As SURGhub continues to grow, it will offer a comprehensive collection of high-quality, up-to-date, evidence-based, and context-relevant open-access materials.
