25 November 2025, California, USA – On 10 August 2025, the Global Entrepreneurs Leadership and Youth Leadership Development Forum brought together around 150 top entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and rising youth leaders in the San Francisco Bay Area to chart a course for shared prosperity amidst a backdrop of rapid technological change, climate urgency, and shifting geopolitics.
Co-hosted by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Prosperity Alliance Singapore, and its partner, the Brotherhood Cup Foundation, the forum spotlighted youth empowerment, entrepreneurial vision, and sustainable development. The day’s agenda balanced big-picture keynotes with practical insights, drawing an energetic and engaged audience.
Collaboration as a Strategic Imperative
The Forum was organized as part of the Global Youth Leadership Programme (July – August 2025), launched by Prosperity Alliance Singapore in partnership with the Brotherhood Cup Foundation, where UNITAR collaborated as an implementing partner.
At the Forum, UNITAR delivered the keynote, underscoring the urgency of joint action. It described the Prosperity Alliance Singapore as a bridge linking governments, business, academia, and civil society, with Singapore’s role as a global finance and innovation hub providing a natural base to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals across ASEAN and beyond.
No nation can face these challenges alone. Global cooperation, cross-sector dialogue and youth engagement are more vital than ever.— Mr. Michael Adalla, Senior Programme Officer, Division for Prosperity, UNITAR
Brotherhood Cup Foundation Chair Yafei Liu traced the organization’s evolution from early scholarship initiatives to global youth leadership and social innovation programmes. Mr. Liu reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to building joint platforms with Prosperity Alliance Singapore to support youth in education, entrepreneurship, and public service.
Philanthropy is not just about giving – it’s about sustained engagement and responsibility. True success is not only achieving for yourself but also giving back to society.
— Mr. Yafe Liu, Chair, Brotherhood Cup Foundation
A panel on technology, investment, and trends, moderated by Prosperity Alliance Singapore President Maggie Liu, brought together three industries:
Joseph Chen, Founder of Renren, mapped the trajectory of AI from symbolic reasoning to generative models, warning that AI will redefine labour markets and human value systems.
Miao Hong, Founding Partner of Silicon Valley Future Capital, identified generative AI as the engine of Silicon Valley’s next wave of innovation.
Ming Pan, Senior Vice President at East West Bank, offered a macroeconomic lens on emerging risks and opportunities.
Their discussion pointed to a decisive period ahead where AI breakthroughs and strategic investment will shape global growth.
