14 October 2019, Curitiba, Brazil – The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Curitiba (CIFAL Curitiba) welcomed a delegation of entrepreneurs from Ecuador and Peru in order to learn about the innovative structure and management model of the Federation of Industries of the State of Parana (FIEP).
In 2014, Parana was the fifth largest province to contribute to Brazil’s GDP. Industry represented 21.8% of that total. In this context, FIEP has as mission improving the industry sector as a way to contribute to development in Parana, coupled with sustainable solutions in the long term.
Reflecting on the importance of the industry to foster sustainable development in a country, CIFAL Curitiba welcomed a delegation of businessmen from various sectors as an opportunity for knowledge-exchange of best practices developed at FIEP. Ms. Priscila Vieira, coordinator of CIFAL Curitiba, presented the Strategic Project Management of Sistema FIEP to the entrepreneurs. Subsequently, she introduced the structure of FIEP system and its contribution to the development and strengthening of the industry sector in Paraná.
Mr. Rafael Cury, Manager of Campus da Indústria Unit, presented the structure of the Faculties of Industry and Sesi International College, which offer possibilities for vocational, higher and special technical education in various areas. Finally, the Sistema Fiep “accelerator” was presented. The aim of the accelerator is to help companies grow faster and at lower costs. In addition, the entrepreneurs also got to know about the Senai Institute of Innovation in Electrochemistry. The institute was created to conduct research applied to the industry, in order to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the industries.
