13 March 2019, Curitiba, Brazil – The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Curitiba (CIFAL Curitiba) in partnership with the Federation of Industries of the State of Parana (FIEP) System hosted the first training seminar of its “Compliance and Integrity Programme”.
This was the first training activity of the year aimed at strengthening the culture of compliance and anticorruption at the corporate level. It brought together more than 70 participants from private sector companies and various institutions. The next seminar is expected to take place in the second week of June.
The Superintendent of Corporate Areas of the FIEP System, Mr. Irineu Roveda gave a keynote addressed on the theme “Ethics in the Digital Era” to pinpoint the challenges and opportunities of the accelerated development of new technologies vis a vis compliance and integrity within companies. Mr. Marcos Turbay, from the Compliance School, shared his experiences and vision in investigative processes, bringing a theoretical and methodological perspective on the subject.
In 2018, the FIEP System in coordination with and the support of representatives from large companies in the State of Parana established the Paranaense Compliance Network to promote spaces for the exchange of knowledge and best practices amongst companies in the field of compliance. A key objective of this Network and the ongoing training seminars is to equip corporations on how to create their Integrity Programs and Risk Management systems.
