CIFAL Bengaluru Delivers Leadership Training in India
15 June 2017, Bengaluru, India – Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and addressing current challenges requires collaborative and innovative leadership. The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Bengaluru (CIFAL Bengaluru) hosted the “U&I Leadership Training” on 9-11 June in Bengaluru, India.
With the objective of providing training opportunities to enhance leadership skills and to promote effective collaboration in educational settings, CIFAL Bengaluru in partnership with the ACTS Group of Institutions hosted a three-day conference bringing together 130 government officials and civil society leaders from 11 cities across India.
The conference placed an important emphasis on how to implement a “U&I” vision and mission in practical terms. Leaders from across India were motivated to take on new challenges with a focus on empowering children through education. Other topics discussed during the conference included the five levels of leadership, how to create positive classroom environments, best practices and culture, mentorship, and practical aspects to spearhead a learning centre, among others.
CIFAL Bengaluru is a training centre affiliated to UNITAR that aims to contribute to advance socially inclusive programmes that empower vulnerable and underprivileged youth, providing them with opportunities to enjoy equal access to education, health services, technologies, as well as to learn about global issues that will impact their lives.
