12 April 2022, Hiroshima, Japan – UNITAR Division for Prosperity invites women in Afghanistan to apply to the Leading Inclusive 4IR: Empowering Women in Afghanistan for the Future of Work through Digital Reskilling programme. The application deadline is 20 April 2022.
The 6-week programme aims to create opportunities for participants to address growing wage gaps, the digital divide, and new challenges in the post-COVID-19 work environment. By the end of the course, participants will be able to transform their entrepreneurial ideas into digital products to empower others and effectively address critical issues in their communities.
The training will cover digital literacy, working with data, programming, coding, applications development, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity and network, women’s empowerment and the Sustainable Development Goals contextualized to local situations.
The fully online course will be delivered in English, from 29 April to 3 June 2022. Participants will learn at their own pace, working on self-directed projects while engaging online with thematic and regional experts, mentors and peers. During the final week, they will join an online hackathon to test their skills.
