As the international community gathers for CSW69, the UNITAR office in New York is pleased to highlight a new collaborative effort with the Data Diplomacy Academy: "The Women, Peace, and Security Agenda after 25 Years: A Data-Driven Report on UN Security Council Debates."
Authored by Júlia Pastick and Antonio Pires, this report provides a comprehensive data analysis of how the Women, Peace, and Security agenda has been addressed in UN Security Council debates since the adoption of Resolution 1325 (2000) — now marking its 25th anniversary.
By examining trends, challenges, and progress in WPS discussions, this research reinforces the importance of data-driven decision-making in shaping more inclusive and effective peace processes. Through our collaboration, UNITAR office in New York and the Data Diplomacy Academy seeks to equip diplomats, policymakers, and advocates with the insights needed to drive meaningful change.
