Road traffic injuries claim more than 1.2 million lives each year with a disproportionate impact on health and development.

They are the ninth leading cause of death across all age groups globally and the leading cause among young people aged between 15 and 29 years.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has set a goal of reducing road traffic deaths and injuries by 50% by 2020. Training and education is essential to contribute to reduce the number of deaths and injuries.

The Postgraduate Diploma on "Road Safety Management and Leadership" is offered by UNITAR, CIFAL Madrid, RACE and the European University, with the objective of empowering individuals responsible for road safety with knowledge and practical tools that will enable them to reduce traffic fatalities.

The course, Expert in Road Safety Management and Administration, is a European University certification developed with UNITAR and RACE through CIFAL Madrid.

In the four-week academic programme, students from all over the world will learn about the efforts and initiatives that have been successful in reducing traffic accidents.
