Summary
The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Nigeria (CIFAL Nigeria)is hosted by River State University with its headquarters in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. It was established with the vision of becoming a reference training centre for public servants and leaders of River State University and neighbouring regions in Nigeria, as well as other countries to strengthen capacities, improve the decision-making process and encourage sustainable development. United States of America, where local, regional, and national leaders can acquire skills that allow them to advance sustainable development in their communities and, ultimately improve the quality of life of their citizens.
Scope: Nigeria and neighbouring countries in the African region.

CIFAL Nigeria Director
Ms. Ihuoma Njemanze
Ms. Ihuoma Njemanze has over Fourteen years of experience in programme management and the successful implementation of donor-funded projects at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). She is part of the Nigeria Project Office (NPO) which was launched in 2006 in Port Harcourt and has spearheaded numerous projects focused on technical skills development for youth, tackling plastic waste pollution through waste to wealth schemes, capacity building for civil service administration, and livelihood training for women and girls affected by oil mining and pollution in the Niger Delta region. She is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Humanitarian Studies and Social Development and holds a first degree in Geography from the University of Port Harcourt as well as a Professional Master’s Degree in Disaster Risk Management and Development Studies.
