This map illustrates satellite-detected landslide areas in the southeastern part of Dominica resulting from Tropical Storm Erica in late August 2015. UNITAR-UNOSAT analyzed imagery collected by the WorldView-2 satellite on 03 September 2015 and detected the presence of landslides over multiple areas in this portion of the island. A total of  about 700 landslides were detected in the analyzed areas. The zone covered by this map is one of the most affected as populated areas and agricultural lands suffered damage. Please note that some parts of the island could not be analyzed due to the heavy cloud cover. This is a preliminary analysis & has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to UNITAR / UNOSAT.
