UNITAR-UNOSAT analysed satellite imagery collected 15 April 2015 by the Pleiades satellite over the city of Aden and identified visible damage of several structures at the Masheek Peninsula. The port areas still appear to be intact but are partially covered by clouds. The airport shows signs of some damage with a possibly destroyed helicopter and at least one nearby building, south of the airport, destroyed.
Vehicle traffic is not heavy but cars are visible all around the city.
UNITAR-UNOSAT analysed satellite imagery collected 17 April 2015 by the Pleiades satellite over the city of Sadah and identified widespread damage along the city. Imagery shows numerous destroyed and heavily damaged buildings and visible craters, with damaged similar to that observed from air strikes. Extensive damage is visible in Sadah?s airport and several other infrastructures have suffered severe damage like a gas station, the electric substation and government offices. Traffic is visible in the area although there are signs of access control points.
