This map presents the standing flood waters over the affected districts of Badin, Mirpur Khas,Tando Allahyar and Sanghar, Pakistan. The analysis is based on satellite data recorded on 02 October 2011(MODIS Terra). A preliminary analysis indicates that the flood waters over Sanghar district has increased between 15 Sept. - 2 Oct. 2011. Standing flood water seems to be stable in spatial extent over the districts of Badin, Mirpur Khas and Tando Allahyar during the above mentioned period. Cloud cover between Sanghar and Mirpur Khas has led to an under estimate of flood waters. This analysis has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to UNITAR /UNOSAT.
