In today’s increasingly globalized and complex world, multilateral dialogue and cooperation is constantly becoming more essential to promote peace and drive progress. At the same time, government corruption continues to grow unchecked in places around the world. As such, the nexus and interrelation between Diplomacy and Anti-Corruption efforts is now more important than ever. In this regard, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has partnered with the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) to launch the one-of-a-kind Master’s in Anti-Corruption and Diplomacy (MACD), a modular postgraduate academic degree conducted over the course of 18 months.

In light of the International Professional Programme’s recent launch, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and CEU San Pablo University held a conference in Madrid, Spain to provide students with insights into the United Nations. More specifically, attendees were given insights into UNITAR’s mission and strategy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as support governments in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

3 June 2022, Geneva, Switzerland – UNITAR's Division for Multilateral Diplomacy was pleased to receive a visit from a delegation of the Global Inter-Gangwon Cooperation Network, sponsored by the Government of Gangwon last month on 16 May 2022. The visit was arranged with the kind support of the Global Hope Network International (GHNI). During a joint tour through the Palais des Nations in Geneva, UNITAR's Division for Multilateral Diplomacy and the Global Inter-Gangwon Cooperation Network were exploring avenues of cooperation in the field of Sports Diplomacy and Peace. The visit of the delegation culminated with a Memorandum of Understanding between the Global Inter-Gangwon Cooperation Network and UNITAR.

To address this disconnect, UNESCAP, PARIS21 and UNITAR respectively developed EPIC, ADAPT and StaTact, three free-standing and complementary data-planning tools intervening at different stages of the data production process and concerned with multi-stakeholder collaboration.
