Thursday 28 May 2015, 15:30 – 18:00
Palais des Nations XXVII, Geneva, Switzerland
Opportunities for development
The Creative Economy Initiative is a project initiated by UNITAR that aims at creating public-private partnerships to develop capacities, enhance knowledge and build skills of policymakers, creative entrepreneurs and professionals, including artists engaged in creative economy.
Through this initiative, UNITAR's goal is to act as a knowledge broker, establishing new relationships between countries, leading to business opportunities, solidarity and an improvement of regional integration and cooperation.
The Initiative’s main objectives include stimulating, educating and training a new generation of creative professionals and cultural entrepreneurs involved in creative businesses; to facilitate interactions among artists and artisans from the informal sectors, SMEs, public cultural institutions and the corporate sectors; and facilitating the access to and the dissemination of data, information, and knowledge on creative economy.
