UNITAR’s Phase II of the Post-2015 Orientation and Training Programme

While continuing to strengthen the capacities of diplomats negotiating the future agenda, UNITAR has already started a preparatory work to offer support, jointly with UN colleagues, to UN Member States during the introduction of the agenda at country level.

The Phase II of UNITAR's Post-2015 Orientation and Training Programme will focus on addressing such country-level needs by delivering training to enhance the relevant knowledge and skills of national governments and their partners from CSOs, private sector, etc., in the initial period following the adoption of the agenda (2015-2017).

This training Programme implemented in direct cooperation with UN field-based and other colleagues is conceived with a view to facilitating a smooth and coherent action to adopt national results frameworks and start implementing the global agenda early on.

UNITAR and the Algerian government launch Ibtikari, an entrepreneurship training and coaching programme

Ibtikari is an entrepreneurship training and coaching programme for Algerian graduates. It is a pilot project which will train and coach 700 young graduates in sectors of strategic relevance to the economic and social development of Algeria.

The Heads of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research and the Institute for Public Finance Studies of Argentina (IEFPA) have signed a cooperation agreement which looks to extend high-quality online training throughout Argentina and the other Ibero-American countries.
