UNITAR Hiroshima Activities in 2015

UNITAR Hiroshima Office Activities in 2015

The UNITAR Hiroshima Office delivers a range of unique training programmes and community engagement activities which utilize Hiroshimas' reputation as a "City of Peace", incorporating experiences of rebirth following the first atomic bombing in human history. Trainees come together from around the world, and since 2003 more than 4,200 trainees have attended our programmes, and more than 15,000 people have participated in public sessions and lectures delivered in Hiroshima.

As Hiroshima remembers 70 years since the dropping of the Atomic Bomb, UNITAR Hiroshima has launched several new capacity development programmes building upon Hiroshima's technical expertise and know-how, including for South-East Asia, the Sahel Region, South Sudan and Afghanistan.

Please see below for a summary of the training and community activities the office is engaging in this year.
