Call for Pitches!

14 February 2017, Geneva, Switzerland – The Second Ministerial Conference of the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), co-hosted by the Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) of Germany, will organize an innovation session to highlight the Social media card #PAGEBERLIN #GREENMATCHimportance of education and training for an inclusive green economy on 27 - 28 March 2017 in Berlin, Germany. The transition to a green economy future will substantially transform employment opportunities by creating new and changing current jobs. However, societies are already facing the challenge of matching the supply of skills in the workforce with changing demands from the private and public sectors.

If you are a visionary thinker or a pragmatic problem-solver, we encourage you to share your idea on how to overcome the Green Skills Mismatch. We are looking for innovative or tried-and-tested pitches on green economy learning initiatives that the world can learn from. The best candidates will get a free ticket to Berlin, Germany to pitch their case to an experienced advisory panel!

How to apply:

  1. Read the guidelines for preparing a pitch proposal (a PDF document will open in a new window)
  2. Submit your written proposal until 5 March 2017 to page@unitar.org.

We began the discussion on the role of learning in an inclusive green economy at the 1st Global Forum on Green Economy Learning in December 2015 in Paris, France.
