Background
Hiroshima Public Sessions are held on a monthly basis in order to benefit the local and international community, as well as to enhance exchange between UNITAR and the people of Hiroshima.
Event Objectives
This Hiroshima Public Session will discuss the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) and nanotechnology from both international and national perspectives in an effort to outline the risks and benefits of this exciting new technology. It will include the following presentations:
- Introduction to SAICM and the role of the Inter-Organization Programme for the Sound Management of Chemicals (IOMC)
- Introduction to Nanotechnology/Manufactured Nanomaterials
- Japan’s Activities on Manufactured Nanomaterials (TBC)
Content and Structure
UNITAR Hiroshima Public Sessions consist of presentations followed by a Question and Answer session.
Additional Information
Public Sessions are presented in English/Japanese with consecutive translation to Japanese where applicable.
